    Hello there,

Seeing an earlier warranty end date than you thought. This usually happens because Microsoft figures it out from when your device was registered or shipped, which isn't always when you bought it. If your device was turned on before or sold earlier, the date might be off.

    Here's why:

Surface devices get logged as soon as they're made or first used. So, if your laptop sat on a shelf for a bit or was registered beforehand, your warranty might look shorter.

    How to fix it:

First, check your warranty on the Microsoft Device Support page and log in.

If the date's wrong, hit Update Warranty and upload your receipt.

Still not right? Reach out to Microsoft Support with your purchase info. They’ll fix the warranty to be one year from when you bought it.

    Regards,

    Rez
