My account is permanently stuck on “Parent or guardian consent required” – even the organizer account is locked

Hello Microsoft Support Team,

I’m currently unable to access my Microsoft account because it’s stuck on the “Parent or guardian consent required” screen.

Here’s the situation in detail:

The account was automatically classified as a child account under Microsoft Family Safety.

The supposed organizer account that it’s linked to is also stuck in the same parental-consent loop.

Because of this, neither account can approve the other or access Family Settings.

I’ve already verified ownership of both accounts through support and was told that the issue would be resolved by a server-side update, but after several days, nothing has changed.

Regular troubleshooting steps (different devices, browsers, cache clearing, recovery forms) don’t help because the login itself is blocked by the consent screen.

It seems both accounts are caught in a circular Family Safety consent loop, where the organizer cannot act as an organizer due to the same restriction.

Could a moderator or the Family Safety backend team please review and help unlink or reset the affected accounts? I’m not requesting a password reset — just removal of the Family Safety restriction so I can access my Microsoft account again.
I have a case ID from previous support interactions if a moderator needs it.

Thank you very much for your time and assistance. — A user stuck in the parental-consent loop

    Hi Tanish,
This issue happens when both the child and organizer accounts are flagged for parental consent, creating a circular lock. Since neither account can approve the other, regular troubleshooting won’t work. The only reliable fix is for Microsoft Support to reset the Family Safety association on their backend. I recommend contacting Microsoft Support under Account & Profile > Family Safety > Unable to access account, and provide both affected email addresses along with your case ID. Ask them to remove the Family Safety restriction or unlink the accounts server-side.
