I am trying to connect Dataverse to Azure Synapse Analytics in a Fabric Trial. The Power Apps wizard asks for Subscription ID and Resource Group. The problem is that the Fabric trial does not appear in my list of Azure Subscriptions. (I have the Global Admin role). I know the Subscription ID from the URL for Fabric Trial Capacity, but it is not available in the Power Apps wizard dropdown list of Azure Subscriptions.

    Hello Charles Leighton,

Currently, Microsoft Q&A does not support Fabric-related issues. Please try posting your question in the official Microsoft Fabric community here:

To connect a Fabric Trial to Dataverse, you need to ensure that you meet the prerequisites for linking to Microsoft Fabric. Here are the steps you can follow:

    1. Check Your Role: Ensure you have the necessary roles. You must have the System Administrator security role in the Power Platform environment.
    2. Power BI Workspace: You need to be an administrator of the Power BI workspace associated with your Dataverse environment.
    3. Capacity Requirements: Confirm that you have a Power BI premium license or Fabric capacity within the same Azure geographical region as your Dataverse environment. If the Fabric trial does not appear in your list of Azure subscriptions, it might be due to the capacity not being correctly set up or recognized in your Azure account.
    4. Subscription ID: If you know the Subscription ID from the Fabric Trial Capacity URL, ensure that it is correctly entered in the Power Apps wizard. If it still does not appear in the dropdown, you may need to check your Azure subscription settings or contact Azure support for assistance.
    5. Linking Process: Use the Power Apps interface to link to Fabric by selecting Analyze > Link to Microsoft Fabric. The wizard will guide you through the process, including validating your configuration and selecting the appropriate workspace.

If you continue to experience issues with the Subscription ID not appearing, consider reaching out to Microsoft support for further assistance with your Fabric Trial setup.
