Strangely, my computer would not play sound from the speakers until I right-click the sound menu on the taskbar, go to spatial sound and click off.

Audio getting muted suddenly, and disabling the spatial sound is fixing the issue. But it doesn't work everytime. Need a solution for this.

It sounds like you're experiencing issues with spatial sound settings affecting your audio output. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem:

    1. Check Audio Device Settings: Ensure that your audio output device is set correctly in the sound settings. Sometimes, the system may switch to a different output device unexpectedly.
    2. Update Audio Drivers: Make sure your audio drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can cause various sound issues.
    3. Disable Spatial Sound: Since disabling spatial sound seems to temporarily fix the issue, you may want to keep it off if you do not need it. You can do this by right-clicking the sound icon in the taskbar, selecting 'Spatial sound', and choosing 'Off'.
    4. Check for Conflicting Applications: Sometimes, other applications can interfere with audio settings. Make sure no other audio applications are running that might conflict with your sound settings.
    5. Restart Audio Services: You can try restarting the Windows Audio service. Open the Run dialog (Windows + R), type services.msc, find 'Windows Audio', right-click it, and select 'Restart'.
    6. Run Troubleshooter: Use the built-in audio troubleshooter. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Playing Audio, and run the troubleshooter.

If the problem persists, consider checking for any Windows updates or seeking further assistance from Microsoft support.
