Why Copilot button on Edge does not open Copilot sidebar?

Hello, I recently decided to switch from Chrome to Edge. While I've had good experience, I'm having an issue with the Copilot button located to the right of the address bar. No matter which way I click, the Copilot sidebar won't open. Now, I don't have the Copilot app installed, but as far as I know, it's just a web view, so I don't think that has anything to do with it. I've tried everything I can, and no matter what solution I try, it just won't work. Can anyone help me?

    If issue persists, please follow these steps to repair Microsoft Edge:

    • Make sure your browser is closed, and you have administrative rights to your device.
    • Press the Windows + I key to open Settings. > Click on the "Apps" tab.
    • Click on "Installed apps." > Scroll through the app list or use the search bar to locate the Microsoft Edge.
    • Click the three-dots menu (...) next to Microsoft Edge and select "Modify"
    • When prompted to allow changes, select Yes.
    • Now, make sure you're connected to the internet and choose Repair. This process should not affect your browser data and settings.
    • Wait for the process to complete, after that, Edge will open, close it and restart your PC.
