     Hello,

If your time is unsynced even though it’s checked to automatically set it, go to settings, then date and time, turn off “set time zone automatically” and “set time automatically” then turn it on again, this should fix it. I personally had this happen on a pc that was left turned off for months and had the time wrong even when it was set to automatically fix the time.

    Hope this helps,

    JC

If your Windows time is no longer syncing automatically after an update, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

    1. Check Windows Time Service: Ensure that the Windows Time service is running. You can do this by opening an administrative Command Prompt and running the following commands:
         net start w32time

If it is not running, you can start it with the command above.
    2. Force Time Synchronization: You can force the time synchronization by executing the following commands in an administrative Command Prompt:
         w32tm /resync /force

    3. Clear W32time Registry Values: If the above steps do not work, you can clear the W32time registry values to force synchronization. Run the following commands:
         net stop w32time
         w32tm.exe /unregister
         w32tm.exe /register
         net start w32time
         w32tm.exe /resync /force

    4. Reconnect to the Internet: Ensure that your computer is connected to the internet, as the time synchronization relies on access to time servers.
    5. Check Time Zone Settings: Make sure that your time zone settings are correct and that the option to automatically adjust the clock for Daylight Saving Time is enabled.

If these methods do not resolve the issue, you may want to consider disabling Secure Time Seeding as a last resort, but this should be done with caution as it can affect future time synchronization.

JC's answer worked first time, whereas the AI-generated answers did not work at all and appear to have entailed more risk. This is yet another sign that we need to be cautious about accepting recommendations from AIs. Much appreciated, JC.
