Hello Mitch Warner,
I understand the confusion. There isn’t a separate ISO for Windows Server 2022 Essentials. Microsoft bundles Essentials into the same installation media as Standard and Datacenter, and it’s your Essentials product key that unlocks the edition during setup. To reinstall, simply download the official ISO from the Microsoft Evaluation Center, create bootable media or mount it for a VM, and begin installation. When prompted, enter your Essentials key to ensure the correct edition is installed, then activate with slmgr.vbs /ato.
Essentials is designed for small businesses, supporting up to 25 users and 50 devices, and while there’s no separate ISO, the product key determines the edition. After installation, make sure to apply the latest updates for security, and if you’re using OEM hardware, your vendor may also provide recovery media. In short, use the standard Windows Server 2022 ISO, install, and activate with your Essentials key to get a clean, fully supported Essentials environment.
