1. Restart the Windows Installer Service
- Press Win + R, type
services.msc, and press Enter. - Find Windows Installer, right-click and choose Restart (or Start if it’s stopped).
- In Properties, set Startup type to Manual, then click OK.
2. Re-register Windows Installer
- Open Command Prompt as Administrator. Run:
msiexec /unregister
msiexec /regserver
- Restart your PC.
3. Repair System Files
- Open Command Prompt as Administrator, Run:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth sfc /scannow
- Restart your PC.
4. Clean the Temp Folder and Fix Permissions
- Press Win + R, type
%TEMP%, and press Enter. Delete all files.
5. Install Visual C++ Redistributables
- Download and install the "Latest supported redistributable version" of Visual C++ (x86 and x64) from here, then restart.
6. Run the WebConnect Installer as Administrator
- Right-click the installer and choose Run as administrator.
7. Install Windows Updates
- Go to Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates. Install all updates and restart.
