Hello Q-Protex,
When you create an Azure subscription, your account becomes the subscription Owner and Account Administrator for billing, but Microsoft Entra ID roles (like Global Administrator) are separate. If your account was never assigned Global Administrator, you’ll see “no roles.”
If you can still sign in to the tenant, check Microsoft Entra admin center → Identity → Roles & administrators to see if you can assign yourself a role.
If you see “You don’t have permission,” then you truly have no directory role. In that case:
- Sign in to Azure portal
- Subscriptions
- select your subscription.
Under Access control (IAM), click Elevate access to manage directory.
This uses your subscription Owner rights to grant you Global Administrator temporarily.
After elevation, assign yourself Global Administrator permanently in Entra ID.
