You could try following these steps below to solve this issue:
- Hide the update to clear the queue:
- Download the Show or Hide Updates troubleshooter tool from Microsoft.
- Run the downloaded file. It will say "Troubleshooting with Windows Update".
- Click Next > Hide Updates.
- A list of available updates will appear. Find and check the box for "Update for Office 2003 (KB897417)".
- Click Next and follow the prompts.
- After you do this, restart your computer and run Windows Update again.
- Uninstall Office 2003:
- Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features.
- Find Microsoft Office 2003 in the list.
- Click it, and select Uninstall. Follow the prompts to remove it.
- After it is uninstalled, Windows Update will no longer search for patches for it.
