Hello this im my first Post.

My Surface just shut down and now I can't turn it on. It won't charge either, as the LED on the power adapter isn't lit.

This is the third Surface I've received since I bought it at the end of 2023, as all the others developed some kind of defect after a certain period.

I don't understand why so many problems occur with this generation of Surface.

Are there any possible solutions, or do I have to send it back to Microsoft again?

Thanks in advance :)

If your Surface Pro 9 has suddenly shut down and is not responding to charging attempts, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Check the Power Adapter: Ensure that the power adapter is plugged into a working outlet. If the LED on the power adapter is not lit, it may indicate a problem with the adapter or the outlet.
    2. Perform a Hard Reset: Press and hold the Power button for about 30 seconds, then release it. After that, try to turn it back on.
    3. Charge the Device: Plug the Surface Pro 9 into the power adapter and let it charge for at least 30 minutes before attempting to turn it on again. Sometimes, if the battery is completely drained, it may take a while before the device responds.
    4. Check for Physical Damage: Inspect the device and the charging port for any signs of damage or debris that might be preventing a proper connection.

If none of these steps work, it may be necessary to contact Microsoft Support for further assistance or to consider sending the device back for repair, especially since this is not the first occurrence of issues with your Surface devices.
