Hi community,

When im trying to map my network drive or press these three icons on any file explorer folders, my dropdown goes up instead of down. When its fullscreen, you will not be able to see the options. Please help me find a fix for this bug. Display scaling, windows updates and restarting file explorer all didnt work.

Thank you

    Hello Clive Ng,

The issue you're experiencing—where dropdowns in File Explorer open upward and become hidden in fullscreen—is likely related to UI rendering or display driver behavior.

Here are a few steps you can try to resolve it:

    1. Update your graphics driver directly from the manufacturer’s website (e.g., Intel, AMD, NVIDIA).
    2. Try temporarily disabling any third-party display utilities or custom themes that may interfere with UI rendering.
    3. Switch File Explorer to windowed mode as a workaround until the issue is resolved.
    4. Create a new user profile to test if the issue is profile-specific.
    5. If the issue persists, consider running sfc /scannow and DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth to repair system components.

If this helps resolve the issue, please click “Accept Answer” so others can benefit too.

    Thank you so much!!!

    Best regards,
