We are currently facing an issue with one of our company laptops that has become inaccessible due to BitLocker encryption being initiated. The staff member assigned to the laptop, Joseph, has stated that he did not activate BitLocker. We also contacted the previous handler of the laptop, who mentioned that he only assisted with the initial setup and did not enable the BitLocker feature.

The BitLocker Recovery Key ID displayed on the device is:

E0E7860C-E76D-4BD9-A647-85C292166AA7

We kindly request your assistance in identifying which email address is associated with the backup of the BitLocker recovery key so that we can retrieve it and restore full access to the device for operational continuity.

    To retrieve the BitLocker recovery key, you can try the following steps:

    1. Check the Microsoft account associated with the device at https://account.microsoft.com/devices/recoverykey.
    2. If the device is part of an organization, check with your IT department or system administrator, as they may have stored the recovery key in Active Directory or Azure AD.
    3. Look for any printed or saved copies of the recovery key that may have been stored during the initial setup.

    If none of these options work, you may need to reset the device, which will result in data loss.
