I am facing a recurring issue where only the AirPods microphone functions correctly in Microsoft Teams. When I attempt to use a headset from another brand, I receive the following error message (both desktop and online client):

Troubleshooting I have done:

  1. Reinstalled MS Teams
  2. Updated Bluetooth & Audio Drivers
  3. Ran system checks (sfc /scannow and DISM restore health)
  4. Confirmed Microphone Privacy Settings - MS Teams have been allowed
  5. Disabled 'Bluetooth LE Enumerator' - Microphone began working, but the speaker/headset audio stopped working. This is not a viable solution.

The laptop is using Windows 11 Enterprise build number 10.0.26100.6899

    Hello @Faiz Izzat Mohamed Akhir,

Thank you for reaching out to the Q&A forum!

I truly appreciate your efforts to troubleshoot the issue on your own; I can see you've already tried most of the essential steps.

To support you better, please provide me more detail:

1.Could you please share a screenshot of your Microphone settings in Microsoft Teams and also the Input device settings in Windows?

Since you mentioned that disabling Bluetooth LE Enumerator made the microphone work, but the speaker stopped working, this may indicate a Bluetooth audio profile conflict.

2.Have you tested the microphone in other applications or directly in Windows Settings?

3.Have you tried using a different headset brand (other than the one currently having the issue) to see if the problem persists?

4.Which brand and model is the headset that is currently not working?

5.Especially, are you using a personal account (Hotmail/Outlook.com) or a work account (managed by your organization) to sign in to Teams?

Since audio issues with Bluetooth headsets in Teams can involve multiple factors so I hope you understand why I need these details to help you effectively.

Please understand that our initial response may not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to identify the root cause and find a solution.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

2.Yes, the mic is working in other applications. We have tested with built in Sound Recorder app.

3.Yes, we tested the functionality with multiple brands, including DMES, BASEUS, and Jabra, as well as Apple AirPods. Surprisingly, the AirPods microphone is working, but the microphones on all other brands are not.

4.As stated above, only Airpods is working. Other brand got issue.

    5.Work account.

Looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you.
