I have just recently upgraded the Councils Surface Hub 2S to Win11 as Win10 was eol.

Upgraded using the Microsoft resource kit and created the SEMM file and created the 2 USB sticks required for the install. After the install completed we Have noticed that all the Win10 features ie start button and Apps menu have disappeared and the Miracast no longer works. We did think that perhaps it was a license issue so Purchased a Teams Room Pro License . This has made no change except for some differences in the Video OptionsThe Hub now is basically a Microsoft Teams device with all the functionality that the unit was originally purchased for now appears to be gone. A lot of staff are upset as now they have to use their personal devices for presentations when connected to the Teams session. The HDMI input no longer works as well.

Am I missing something here as what I have seen on some of the forums is that people are asking the same questions after the Win11 upgrade. Seems a backward step to me !

Hello Steve Byfieldt, welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Please understand that Surface Hub troubleshooting falls outside standard forum support due to its specialized setup—firmware and MDM quirks make it best handled by experts.

You should reach out to Surface Business/Education Support for tailored help: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/contact-surface-business-education-support.
