Slim Pen 2 does not write in a rectangular region, irrespective of the physical orientation of my Surface Pro X (Windows 11)
The same problem occurs when I'm dragging cursor with fingertips as well as Slim Pen 2 in the same rectangular area.
Here's an example:

    Hello Meeta,

Thanks for sharing your concern to the community. It looks like there's a dead zone on your Surface Pro X screen since neither the Slim Pen 2 nor your finger works in one spot. It's probably a hardware issue.

    Here's what you can do.

-Restart your Surface to see if that fixes it.

    -Update Windows in Settings.

-Download the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit from Microsoft and run it.

-Go to UEFI (Surface BIOS) and check the touch there. If it's still dead, it's for sure a hardware thing.

-If it only happens in Windows, try recalibrating the touch and pen in Control Panel > Tablet PC Settings >Calibrate.

Here’s the official Microsoft troubleshooting guide for Surface Pen issues: Troubleshoot your Surface Pen - Microsoft Support

If the problem is a dead touch zone (where both pen and finger fail), check this guide: What to try if your Surface touchscreen doesn't work

These pages cover steps like testing in UEFI, updating drivers, running the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit, and when to request service.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Rez
