How to complete log on to Microsoft on a new computer with QR and iphone face I.D.?

New HP computer with Windows 11. Requires sign in to windows account and then QR code to iphone and face ID. Responds with "Whoops something went wrong try again later." Tried for days and delivers the same response. How do I get through?

    Hi Dennis! Are you using the latest Microsoft Authenticator app on your iPhone and signed in with the same Microsoft account?

    Make sure your phone and PC are online, the date and time are correct, and scan the QR code from the Windows sign-in screen. If it still shows an error, restart both devices and try again. You can also sign in with your password first and then set up QR/Face ID after Windows is ready.
