It seems that you are experiencing issues with the visual search feature in the Microsoft Edge browser on Android, which is interfering with the contextual menu for copying and pasting. Unfortunately, the provided context does not contain specific troubleshooting steps for disabling or adjusting the visual search feature in the Edge browser on Android.

You may want to try the following general troubleshooting steps:

    1. Restart the App: Close the Edge browser completely and then reopen it to see if the issue persists.
    2. Clear Cache: Go to the app settings on your Android device, find Microsoft Edge, and clear the cache. This might resolve any temporary glitches.
    3. Update the App: Ensure that you have the latest version of Microsoft Edge installed, as updates often include bug fixes and improvements.
    4. Check for Device Updates: Make sure your Android device is running the latest software version.
    5. Reinstall the App: If the problem continues, consider uninstalling and then reinstalling Microsoft Edge.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may want to check the Microsoft support forums or contact Microsoft support for more specific assistance regarding the visual search feature.

    Hi @Davis Elkins,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Thank you for reaching out to us. I understand that the Visual Search feature is activating while you are selecting text to copy and paste.

Currently, Microsoft Edge for Android is designed with Visual Search as an integrated part of the context menu, and a setting to disable this specific feature is not available at this time.

In order to select text without activating Visual Search, you can use Immersive Reader Mode, which presents the content in a text-focused view:

    • Open the webpage where you want to copy text.
    • In the address bar, tap the Book & Speaker icon (Immersive Reader).
If the icon isn’t visible, type read: immediately before the URL (e.g., read:https://example.com) and press Enter.
    • The page will reload in a simplified format, allowing you to select and copy text.

We understand this involves an additional step, but it allows you to copy text seamlessly within the browser.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. If you have any further questions or need assistance, please feel free to reach out.
