If your laptop is displaying a blank screen after signing in, it may be related to issues with the lock screen settings or password configuration. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:

    1. Check Password Settings: Ensure that your password is correctly set. If you have forgotten your password, you may need to reset it using the password reset options available.
    2. Disable Password Protection on Wake-Up: If your device is configured to require a password when waking up, you can disable this feature. Here’s how:
      • Open Control Panel and select Power Options.
      • Click on Require a password on wake up.
      • Change the setting to Don't require a password.
    3. Update Graphics Drivers: Sometimes, a blank screen can be caused by outdated or incompatible graphics drivers. Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date.
    4. Check for Security Software Conflicts: If you have security software installed, it may be causing issues with the display. Try temporarily disabling it to see if that resolves the problem.
    5. Use Safe Mode: Boot your laptop in Safe Mode to see if the issue persists. If it works fine in Safe Mode, there may be a software conflict causing the problem.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to consider restoring your system to a previous state or seeking professional assistance.

Start your laptop, just as Windows attempts to load (spinning dots), press and hold Power Button for 5 - 10 seconds to perform a Hard Shut Down

    Do this twice

On the third start Windows will boot into the Recovery Environment and from there you can access System Repair, Safe Mode, Command Prompt... etc.

Please try each option one at a time, then see if Windows will boot to a stable system.

    .

Go to Troubleshoot - Advanced Option - Startup Repair

See if Windows startup can repair itself

    .

Go to Troubleshoot - Advanced Option - System Restore

Check to see if you have a restore point you can go back to
