How to fix broken tags on Microsoft Teams

Ongoing bug -

I use an plug in to share outlook emails with colleagues via teams.

Recently, when I tag a colleague in a new post to share an email, teams allows me to tag the colleague, but when I create the post the tag 'breaks' and shows the name of my colleague, without the link actually working

The image below shows this - see how the text is black rather than blue as it would be with an active link.

Would really appreciate any advice on finding a fix!Screenshot 2025-11-23 134001

Regarding you’re unable to use tags to mention other users in Microsoft Teams. I’d like to ask a few quick questions to better understand your situation and assist you more effectively:

    • Is the issue affecting all teams or only specific teams?
    • Are you a Teams admin or team owner in the affected teams?
    • Have you try using Microsoft Teams on the web does this issue persist?
    • If you are a Teams admin or if you are an end user please contact with the team admin to check if Is Tags enabled in your Teams policies?  Go to Teams admin center then find Teams settings and check "Tags"
      User's image
