iPad is not bringing up a print option on the Word app since 19th Nov 2025. I see that this has happened to a lot of people including schools.

printer works on all other apps including excel.

I’ve deleted and reinstalled app, restarted printer, restarted router, restarted iPad. Fortunately copied all docs over to one drive as they were saved to the iPad and were deleted when I deleted the app.

I can print by opening up the printer app and finding the document in files and I can print by sending the document to the printer via send option BUT it changes the layout fonts and wipes out the tables so is no good at all.

i pressure MS will update the Word app and fix the bug?

meanwhile I sent the docs to an iPad with the old version of word and printed from there.

It seems that you are experiencing issues with the print option in the Word app on your iPad since a specific version update. While I cannot provide specific fixes for the app or comment on future updates from Microsoft, here are some general troubleshooting steps you might consider:

    1. Check for Updates: Ensure that your iPad and the Word app are updated to the latest version. Sometimes, issues are resolved in subsequent updates.
    2. Printer Compatibility: Verify that your printer is compatible with the Word app on iOS. Since you mentioned that printing works from other apps, this may not be the issue, but it's worth checking.
    3. Print Settings: Look into the print settings within the Word app to see if there are any options that need to be adjusted.
    4. Contact Support: If the problem persists, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for assistance, as they may have more specific solutions or workarounds for this issue.

Unfortunately, without more specific details from Microsoft regarding the app's functionality, it's difficult to predict when a fix might be implemented. Meanwhile, using the older version of the app on another iPad seems to be a temporary solution for your printing needs.
