I invited my husband’s Gmail account to join the family membership, and he accepted the invitation. However, he is unable to use the shared storage. It was working before, but after I recently renewed the membership, his account can no longer use the storage benefits.

I see he is listed as a family organizer. I tried removing him and adding him again, but the problem continues. Please advise on how to resolve this.

Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

After renewing a Microsoft 365 Family membership or making changes to family roles, it can take a little time for the OneDrive storage quota to update. Usually, it resolves within 24 to 48 hours.

In the meantime, make sure your husband’s account is signed in with the correct Microsoft account that’s part of the family plan, and that there aren’t any multiple accounts causing conflicts.

If the update is still pending after 24 hours, you can try unlinking and relinking your OneDrive account, or resetting it. "Unlink and re-link OneDrive" https://support.microsoft.com/office/unlink-and-re-link-onedrive-3c4680bf-cc36-4204-9ca5-e7b24cdd23ea

If the issue persists after 48 hours, please contact Microsoft support for further assistance:

    • Here is the link: https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact
    • Type this keyword and press Enter: Contact Support.
    • At the bottom, click "Sign in to contact support" and sign in with your Personal Microsoft account (Not work or school account), or click "Contact Support" if you're already signed in.
    • In Product and services, select "Microsoft 365 and Office".
    • In Category, select "Manage my subscription".
    • Click "Chat with a support agent in your web browser".

If you ever find yourself stuck in a loop, please use the keywords "Contact Support" or "Live Chat" (without the quotes) and click "Contact Support" at the bottom.

I really hope this information is helpful! Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

    Regards,

    John J.D.
