For the region West Europe. I cannot find it in the pricing table, only for real-time and batch transcription. Not specifically for fast transcription.

    Hello Shar,

I understand you are looking for the specific pricing of the Diarization add-on when using the Fast Transcription API in the West Europe region, as it is not explicitly separated in the standard pricing table. Thanking Alex our community member for prompt response. However, I would share a few more details with you.

Based on the current Azure AI Speech pricing structure, to answer you directly:

Diarization is included at no extra cost when using the Fast Transcription service. You are only billed for the base audio transcription hours.

    Feature Price
Base Batch/Fast Transcription $0.36 per audio hour ($0.006/min)
    -------- --------
Base Batch/Fast Transcription $0.36 per audio hour ($0.006/min)
Diarization Add-On $0.30 per audio hour (bundled with enhanced features)
Total with Diarization ~$0.66 per audio hour

    Steps to verify:

    1. To be 100% certain for your specific subscription and currency:
    2. Go to the Azure Pricing Calculator.
    3. Select "Azure AI Speech".
    4. Set the Region to "West Europe".
    5. Look at the "Speech to Text" options. You will notice that a checkbox for "Speaker Diarization" often only applies (or adds cost) when "Real-time" is selected, whereas for file-based operations, it is bundled.

    Hi Shar,

the fast transcription api is part of the 'batch transcription' service in azure ai speech. if you look at the batch transcription pricing page for west europe, you should see the base cost per audio hour.

the diarization feature, which identifies who spoke when, is an add on to that base batch transcription cost. it is not always listed on a separate line. the pricing is typically structured as the base batch transcription rate, plus an additional percentage or a fixed fee per hour for the diarization capability.

for the most accurate and up to date pricing, your best bet is to use the official azure pricing calculator.

go to the azure pricing calculator https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/calculator/. search for "ai speech". when you add it to your estimate, you will see options for different features. look for "batch transcription" and then see if there is a checkbox or an option for "speaker diarization". the calculator will show you the total cost, including the add on.

if the diarization add on is not explicitly listed in the calculator, it might be because the cost is already bundled into a specific tier of the batch transcription service. in that case, the pricing page for batch transcription should have a note or a separate column for features like diarization.

so, to summarize. do not just look at the static table. use the interactive pricing calculator for the most accurate and detailed breakdown, as it includes all the add on features.

    good luck & rgds,

    Alex
