Cannot select text in Word on ipados 26

People have been reporting this issue sincer October, why is Microsoft not fixing this issue?

    Hello!

    I checked the latest update notes. Microsoft confirms that the text selection problem on Word for iPad started after recent iPadOS changes. I suggest Updating Word from the App Store and update iPadOS, then sign out of Word, close the app, sign in again, and restart the iPad.

    If the issue stays the same, report it through Word by tapping your profile icon, Help and Support, then Contact Support. This sends your report directly to the Word mobile team.

    Thanks for the update. Are you signed in with a Microsoft 365 account inside Word on your iPad?

    Microsoft confirms the text selection issue is still active. The Contact Support option only appears if you are signed in with a Microsoft 365 subscription. Sign in, tap your profile picture, then Help and Support. If the option still does not show, use the Microsoft 365 Support page in your browser and report the issue there.

    Hello. I understand, it’s frustrating. Microsoft tracks this issue through reports in Word or the Microsoft 365 Support page. Make sure your report includes your iPad model, iPadOS version, and Word version so the team can address it.
