Hello @Paulo Martinho (Nokia)
Welcome to the Q&A Community!
Thank you for contacting us regarding the issue with your Bluetooth headsets and Microsoft Teams. I understand that all three headsets previously worked correctly, but now the microphone does not function during Teams calls, even though audio output is fine and the devices work properly on other platforms.
To assist you effectively, I would like to gather additional information and provide a structured troubleshooting approach.
- When you navigate to Microsoft Teams > Settings > Devices, is your Bluetooth headset selected for both Speaker and Microphone?
- In Windows Sound Settings, does the headset appear under Input devices, and do you see any input level activity when speaking?
Right-click the sound icon in the taskbar and select Sound settings. Under Input, ensure your Bluetooth headset is set as the default input device.
- Does the headset show two profiles in Windows (for example, “Stereo” and “Hands-Free”)? If so, which profile is active during Teams calls?
- Have there been any recent updates to Windows 11 or Microsoft Teams prior to the issue occurring?
- Does the microphone function correctly when using the Teams Web application (for example, in Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome)?
In the meantime, I suggest these steps that you should try and let me know the results:
Confirm Bluetooth Profile
Ensure the headset is connected using the Hands-Free (HFP/HSP) profile, not just Stereo.
Reset Bluetooth Connection
- Unpair the headset from Windows Bluetooth settings.
- Right-click the Start menu and open Device Manager.
- Expand Bluetooth.
- Right-click Microsoft Bluetooth LE Enumerator and select Disable. You will receive a warning that some devices may stop working. Unless you have devices that require Bluetooth Low Energy, it is safe to proceed.
- Leave the other Bluetooth adapter (without LE) enabled.
- Pair your headset again.
- Restart Microsoft Teams.
Update Bluetooth and Audio Drivers
In Device Manager, update drivers for your Bluetooth adapter and headset. If possible, download the latest drivers from your laptop manufacturer’s support site.
For detailed instructions: Update drivers through Device Manager in Windows - Microsoft Support
Verify Microphone Permissions
Navigate to Settings > Privacy & security > Microphone and ensure Microsoft Teams has permission to access the microphone.
Clear Teams Cache or Reinstall the Application
For detailed instructions: Clear the Teams client cache - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Learn
Restart the application and sign in again. If the issue persists, reinstall Microsoft Teams.
Please provide answers to the questions listed above and let me know which troubleshooting steps you have already attempted.
I look forward to your response so we can resolve this issue promptly.
