Hi @Varshitha K,
Thank you for reaching out and posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum. To better assist you:
- Could you confirm if this issue occurs when using the Teams desktop app? If possible, please also check on Teams Web to see if the same error appears.
- Additionally, do you know if other users in your organization are experiencing the same issue? This will help us determine if it’s a broader permission setting or specific to your account.
In the meantime, please try the following steps to review your permissions:
- Go to the Files tab in Teams, right-click the location, and select “Open in SharePoint.”
- Once in SharePoint, click the three dots (…) next to the file you want to download and select “Manage Access.”
- Ensure your account is not listed under any option that restricts downloading. If you notice any information, kindly share the details with me.
If your account is managed by your organization, we recommend reaching out to your IT department for further assistance. They’ll be able to review your permissions in detail and make any necessary adjustments to ensure you have the right level of access.
Please feel free to share any updates or findings in the comments below, I’ll be happy to assist you further.
