Is there any way to auto-translate questions that come through Q&A chat?

See picture below - as the organizer, I'd like to see the guest's question translated from French to English.

I don't appear to have the option to translate - the three dots next to 'Anonymous User (Guest)' don't give me the option.

    Hi @Urquhart, Andrew (NBCC),

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum.

Currently, Microsoft Teams does offer translation features, but they are limited to chat messages in standard channels and meeting chat, not the Q&A feature in webinars or live events. That’s why you don’t see the “Translate” option in the three-dot menu for Q&A posts.

This happens because the Q&A app in Teams is a separate component from regular chat. Auto-translate is currently not supported for Q&A messages. Translation options are only available for messages in standard chat or channels.

Your suggestion for not currently supported features such as translation in Q&A chats are greatly fantastic ideas for webinars and hosting events. While these options are not available today, we’re optimistic about future enhancements.

Because of that, I strongly recommend you to share your feedback directly with the Microsoft engineering team via Microsoft Teams · Community → Send Feedback and describe your suggestion in detail. Your input plays a vital role in shaping the future of Microsoft products.
