Based on your description, you want to know which version of PowerPoint 365 supports the animation per word option to emulate a typing effect.
- PowerPoint for the web does NOT support this feature. It cannot create custom animations like per-word or per-letter typing effects.
- PowerPoint Desktop (Windows or Mac) included in Microsoft 365 subscriptions supports this functionality.
You can apply animations such as Appear, Fade, or Fly In, then go to Effect Options and choose Animate text by word (or by letter for a typewriter effect).
This feature is available in all modern desktop versions of PowerPoint under Microsoft 365 (e.g., Office 365 Apps for Enterprise, Microsoft 365 Business, E3/E5 plans).
