How to Uninstall and Install Teams again

To uninstall Microsoft Teams, you can follow these instructions based on your deployment type:

For User-Deployed or Per-user Admin Deployments:

1. The classic Teams app will automatically uninstall after the new Teams installation. If users aren't signed in for an extended period, ensure that new Teams is deployed machine-wide.

For Admin-Deployed Teams Machine-Wide Installer:

1. Use your existing deployment tools to uninstall the Teams Machine-Wide Installer. This will trigger the uninstallation of classic Teams for each user as they sign in.

PowerShell Commands:

• To remove Teams from all users' computers, use:

    Get-AppxPackage *MSTeams* -AllUsers | Remove-AppxPackage -AllUsers
  

• For an individual user without administrator privileges:

    Get-AppxPackage *MSTeams* | Remove-AppxPackage
  

To Install Teams Again:

1. After uninstalling, you can download the latest version of Microsoft Teams from the official Microsoft website and install it by following the on-screen instructions.

Make sure to restart your computer after the uninstallation and before reinstalling to ensure a clean installation process.

To uninstall Teams, you need to uninstall two items. Follow the steps below to fully uninstall Teams. 

1. Quit Teams by right-clicking the Teams icon in the taskbar and choosing Quit Teams. 
   
2. In Windows, click on the Start button , > Settings > Apps. 
3. Under Apps > Installed apps , search "teams". 
4. Highlight Microsoft Teams, then select Uninstall.

2. Click on download 
3. After you download it click open it will reinstall Microsoft Teams for you
