Hi @William Zaremba , Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A. I understand how frustrating it can be when two computers unexpectedly sync and overwrite your personalized desktop setup.

The steps below apply only to Microsoft Edge settings and will not change your Windows desktop or overall computer configuration. They control what data is synced within the Edge browser

    1. Adjust Sync Settings in Edge Go to Settings > Profiles > Sync and turn off any items you don’t want to share, such as: Appearance, Settings, Extensions, Favorites, History
    2. Alternative Options Sign out of your Microsoft account in Edge on the affected device. (Or create a separate Edge profile to keep settings isolated)

If the issue persists and you need help restoring different desktop setups, could you please provide the following details?

    • Which Windows versions and build numbers are running on both computers (Windows 10 or Windows 11)?
    • Are both devices signed in with the same Microsoft account?

Hope to hear from you soon so I can assist you further.
