surface keyboard stopped working

I performed an update a couple days ago and now my surfacepro keyboard/touch pad is not working. I did boot to the UEFI and the touchpad worked in that environment.

I have used device mgr to uninstall HID drivers, and reinstall via rebooting the surfacepro, but no luck getting it to work again...
