Hello Lori Roefs, welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.
Unfortunately, the Marvell Avastar Wireless-AC adapter in Surface Pro 4 (released in 2015) is very old hardware. The last driver (15.68.17021.121) was released years ago and does not work reliably with newer Windows builds. There are no newer drivers or settings that can make this adapter stay connected consistently.
The only practical options are:
- Have the Wi-Fi card inside the Surface replaced with a newer Intel one.
- Plug in a small external USB Wi-Fi adapter.
The internal card swap is the cleanest long-term fix; the USB adapter is the quickest and cheapest if you just want it working today.
Warm regards,
