How do I make a test call in Teams in a browser? There is no option to make a test call? Why would you remove this functionality or not make it searchable in settings?

Unfortunately, at the moment, there's no way to make a test call in the free version of Microsoft Teams. This feature is only available for the business / education version of Teams.

Try to search for the "Echo / Sound Test Service." service bot and add it to your contacts. With this service bot you can make audio/video test calls and check the performance of your audio/video devices.
