Recently i have upgraded my system to windows 11 version , but after installing the OS , i noticed that several keys on keyboard are not working. especially special characters such as exclamation sign , at the rate symbol, dollar sign , opening and closing parenthesis. i have tried my best possible efforts to resolve this issue by uninstalling keyboard driver and reinstalling it and update it . but applying all trouble shooting option no fruitful result has come to light so far. even i changed the language setting to ENG US . but ultimately nothing has worked.

kindly review it thoroughly and do the needful

    Hello,

To diagnose a keyboard problem, it's essential to test with the onscreen keyboard or a different keyboard via USB or Bluetooth. Let me know if they behave the same way.

It sounds like you're experiencing issues with your keyboard after upgrading to Windows 11. Here are a few suggestions that might help you resolve the problem:

    1. Check Keyboard Layout: Ensure that the keyboard layout is set correctly. You mentioned changing it to ENG US, but double-check that it is indeed selected in the settings. You can switch between installed keyboard layouts by pressing the Windows logo key + Spacebar.
    2. On-Screen Keyboard: Try using the On-Screen Keyboard (OSK) to see if the special characters work there. You can access it by searching for "On-Screen Keyboard" in the Start menu. This can help determine if the issue is with the hardware or software.
    3. Keyboard Driver: Since you've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the keyboard driver, ensure that you have the latest driver installed. You can check for updates in Device Manager.
    4. Windows Updates: Make sure your Windows is fully updated, as updates can sometimes fix hardware compatibility issues.
    5. External Keyboard: If possible, try connecting an external keyboard to see if the issue persists. This can help identify whether the problem is with the built-in keyboard or the system itself.
    6. Accessibility Settings: Check if any accessibility settings are affecting keyboard input. Sometimes, features like Sticky Keys can cause unexpected behavior.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, you may want to consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for further assistance.

on screen keyboard is functioning well and special characters on the keyboards are working smoothly . but problem occurs on my physical keyboard . normally i did not face any difficulty with physical keyboards but only problem is there special characters are not functioning as it did with my previous version of OS 10. but in OS 11 special characters on the keyboards as i mentioned exclamation mark, at the rate sign, dollar sign, ampersand symbol, asterisk sign , first bracket opening and close are not working..
