The battery of my laptop has been at 0% over 24 hours ago and I reached out to one of your representatives who tried to install a software/driver but could not get the problem completely resolved for time. He gave me some steps to follow but that did not work

The case number open for me is: 7092340758.

I will appreciate every support.

Thank you.

Hi, thank you for patiently waiting. Upon checking here, the battery seems to still be functioning. However, it doesn't mean that there is no hardware-related issue. In this case, kindly follow the steps below:

Method 1. Reinstall Battery Drivers (Skip this process if you have already tried to uninstall all drivers under the batteries)

-Press the Windows key + X

    -Select Device Manager

    -Expand the Batteries

-Right-click, then uninstall all drivers there

-Restart the PC and check it again

Method 2. Restore default power options

-Press Windows key + R then type:

    powercfg -restoredefaultschemes

    -Restart the PC and check.

    Method 3. Run power, Troubleshooter

    • Press Windows key + R then type:

    msdt.exe /id PowerDiagnostic

    • Click OK, then follow the prompts to run the power troubleshooter.

    -Restart the device after.

Note: If the issue persists, I suggest contacting a local technician to physically check the device for any hardware-related issues, in particular to your battery.

One of your representative has started work on it before. I will appreciate if the case is seen to a logical conclusion.

Hi, I'm Bernard, a fellow Windows user. I'm happy to help!

Let us run a battery report to check if the battery itself has a hardware issue. To do this, kindly follow the steps below:

Search for Command prompt > right-click and select “Run as administrator”

Copy, paste, and enter the command:

    powercfg /batteryreport /output "C:\battery_report.html

Then go to: Drive C: or C:\ and look for “battery_report”

Then please upload it to Cloud storage like OneDrive or any cloud storage you are using and please share the shareable link here.

To upload and share the link using OneDrive:

Go to this link: https://onedrive.live.com/, then upload the file.

Then provide the shareable link by following the steps from this link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/share-onedrive-files-and-folders-9fcc2f7d-de0c-4cec-93b0-a82024800c07
