Hello,
If you are using personal Microsoft account to log into Teams, there is not supposed to be a call tab. Call tab is for organization users with Teams phone/call plan add on licenses only.
No call button on MS Teams for MacOS

A Skype Dial Pad will be added to Teams app. When you click on the dial pad, it will launch the Skype web portal for you. The calls will not be operated from within Teams. On your computer, click on the three dots on the upper right to find it, on phones, click on your user profile icon to find it.
