I have been trying to remove myself from an Organization/Directory that I am a member of and clicking the button "Leave" for AzureDevOp also does nothing.

How can I leave a Directory/Organization?

    Hello Me,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A,

You can leave both a Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) directory and an Azure DevOps organization, but they’re two different things, and the steps are different.

    1. To Leave Microsoft Entra
      1. Go to https://myaccount.microsoft.com and sign in with the same account you use for Azure DevOps.
      2. In the left menu, select Organizations (or click Manage organizations in the Organizations tile).
      3. Under “Other organizations you collaborate with”, find the organization you want to leave.
      4. Click Leave next to that organization and confirm.
    2. To Leave Azure DevOps
      1. Go to https://aex.dev.azure.com and sign in.
      2. You’ll see a list of organizations you belong to.
      3. Select the organization you want to leave and choose Leave.
      4. Confirm you want to leave.

If the org still won’t disappear, it’s often because:

    • Your Entra guest account in that tenant is still present and the org is linked to it, or
    • There’s a policy or issue on their side.

In that case, the only real fix is:

    • Ask someone who is an admin for that Azure DevOps organization / backing Entra tenant to:
      • Remove your user from the Azure DevOps organization, and
      • (Optionally) Remove your guest account from their Entra directory.
