I had created a Microsoft form and been using it for a while, now when following the link or scanning the QR code it says the form no longer exists.

it's also no longer on my forms page unless I check favourites but even going through that way when going into the form it says it doesn't exist.

i've checked the recycle bin and it isn't in there I haven't deleted it.

Any suggestions on how to recover?

It sounds like you are experiencing an issue with your Microsoft Form where it appears to be missing or inaccessible. Here are a few suggestions to troubleshoot and potentially recover your form:

    1. Check Ownership: Ensure that you are logged in with the correct account that created the form. If the original owner of the form is no longer with your organization, the form may not be accessible.
    2. Shared with Me: If the form was shared with you, check the Shared with me tab in Microsoft Forms to see if it appears there.
    3. Form ID: If you have the original URL of the form, verify that the Form ID in the URL is correct. Sometimes, copying the link can inadvertently change it.
    4. Transfer Ownership: If you suspect that the form was created by someone who has left the organization, consider checking if you can transfer ownership of the form to yourself or another user in your organization.
    5. Contact Support: If none of the above steps work, it may be helpful to contact Microsoft support for further assistance, especially if the form is critical for your operations.

Unfortunately, if the form has been permanently deleted and is not in the recycle bin, recovery may not be possible.

Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

May I know what troubleshooting steps have you already taken? This will help me avoid recommending them again.

In the meantime, if you haven’t already:

    • Try a different browser or Incognito/Private mode > Opening the link in a private window can help rule out any browser-related issues.
    • Double-check the Microsoft account you’re signed into > If you have both personal and work/school accounts, it’s possible the form was created under a different one. Make sure you're signed into the exact account used when the form was created.
    • Go to https://forms.office.com (for work/school) or https://forms.microsoft.com (for personal accounts), then check your My Forms list. Scroll to the bottom of the main Forms page and select "All My Forms" to ensure it's not simply hidden from the main view.

Click "Add comment" to let me know.

    Regards,

    John J.D.
