Hi @Vegard,
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.
If you want to disable automatic capitalization in Outlook, please follow these steps:
- In the Message tab, click the small arrow in the corner to open additional options.
- Select Editor and then choose Editor Settings.
- Turn off Enable AutoCorrect and Enable Auto Capitalization.
For now you will be able to type the "i" without it being capitalize. But Outlook will no longer automatically correct common typos (e.g., “teh” → “the”). It won’t automatically capitalize the first letter of sentences or proper nouns. So You’ll need to manually fix spelling mistakes and capitalization errors. Grammar suggestions from the Editor may still appear, but they won’t auto-fix.
Thank you again for your time and understanding. While this may not resolve the issue immediately, I’d like to gather more details if needed so I can assist you more effectively.
I truly appreciate your patience, and I’m here to help. Looking forward to your response!
