Screen Sharing Multiple Documents NOT refreshing for participants

Hi. I have a user who is in a Teams Call - unsure if the user is the organizer or not, but assuming the user IS the organizer. User goes to open the agenda to switch to a different document - say in this case an Excel spreadsheet - and the rest of the team only sees the first document - say a Word document. Their view does not transition to the spreadsheet. Is this a permissions thing? How should I go about pointing my user to the right place to force everyone's view of the shared screen to refresh?

Thanks,

W

    Dear @William Brach,

Good day. Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum!

I would like to sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused.

Following my recent investigation and testing within our environment, I was unable to reproduce the issue everything appears to be functioning as expected.

Regarding your issue, may I kindly ask a few questions so I can understand your issue better:

    • Does this error occur on desktop, web, or mobile?
    • If could, please take a screenshot of the issue you're experiencing so I can better assist you.
    • Could you please confirm which option you selected when sharing your screen during the Teams meeting?

    Untitled

    • If you selected Window, please note that this shares only the specific application window. Switching to another document in a different application (e.g., Word to Excel) will not automatically update for attendees. For seamless transitions, we recommend using Entire Screen, which ensures that any changes on your monitor are visible to all participants.

In the meantime, please try these troubleshooting steps:

    1. Microsoft Teams: update to the latest version. Version update history for Teams app deployments - Office release notes | Microsoft Learn
    2. Sign out and log back in: This will refresh your account linking and may resolve the issue.
    3. Clear Teams cache: Cached data can sometimes cause problems. Clear the Teams client cache - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Learn
    4. Reinstall Teams: If the problem persists, try completely uninstalling and reinstalling it.

Uninstall first: Uninstall Microsoft Teams - Microsoft Support

Then reinstall: Download Microsoft Teams Desktop and Mobile Apps | Microsoft Teams

Note: Please note that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

Your understanding and co-operation are highly appreciated. I am looking forward to your response!
