My Surface Pro 9 will not boot up. I have tried to contact Microsoft, and I cannot get a human being on the telephone. I have tried going through all of the prompts on their website, and I have tried taking it back to the retailer where it was purchased. I've gotten no help. It was an extremely expensive device, so I would appreciate some help as to where I can take it to be exchanged, or where it can be repaired! Please HELP! I've tried holding the power button down for 20 seconds, I've tried plugging it in and holding the power button down for 20 seconds, I've tried unplugging it, and and holding the power down for 30 seconds, and them plugging it up and waiting 10 seconds before pushing the power button on. NOTHING helps. Again, please HELP!

If your Surface Pro 9 will not boot up, there are a few steps you can take to seek help:

    1. Contact Microsoft Support: Since you've had trouble reaching them by phone, consider using the Surface Support Portal to create a service request. This portal allows you to track the status of device repairs and warranty claims.
    2. Repair Options: If troubleshooting does not resolve the issue, you may need to initiate a repair. You can open a service request via the Surface Management Portal or the Surface Support Portal. Here are the steps for creating a service request:
      • Sign into the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
      • Navigate to Support > Microsoft Surface support.
      • Select Warranty service & repair > Create service request.
    3. In-Region Repair: If your device is eligible, Microsoft can repair many commercial Surface devices via in-region repair facilities. Allow an average of 6-8 days for the repair process.
    4. Retailer Return: If your device is still under warranty and you are unable to resolve the issue through Microsoft, returning it to the retailer for an exchange or refund may also be an option.

Make sure to have your device's serial number and any relevant purchase information handy when contacting support or visiting the retailer.

    Hello, Mz ZJewell.

I recommend contacting a Microsoft support specialist not by phone, but in a chat. To do this, log in to your account on the page https://support.microsoft.com/en-US/home/contact?SourceApp=smc2&ContactUsExperienceEntryPointAssetId=www.microsoft.com

Next, enter (without quotes) "agent support" in the search bar and press Enter or click on Get Help. Ignore the search results, and click on the "Contact Support" button at the bottom. On the next page, select "Surface" and "Surface Pro" from the drop-down lists, and then click on "Confirm". Next, select the chat "Chat with a support agent in your web browser" and on the next page enter your (the one that works) email address and click on "Confirm". A chat window will open in a new tab. Wait for the operator to respond and describe the situation to him.

Note. The chat is available during business hours and on business days according to US time.
