Recently have been trying to log into minecraft but have been getting these two errors on the launcher. I just bought a new PC and have not been able to run Minecraft on it. I have never had this problem in the past and need to know how to fix it or if anyone has any ideas. For context I have tried almost ever solution that I could find online such uninstalling, repairing the app, deleting the .minecraft folder, running as administrator, and resetting my pc. I have also figured out that that I am able to run minecraft through the cursed forge launcher so it is crashing when trying to load up the launcher. I also figured out that when I download the launcher it does not come up in either program files. If anyone has any incite or solutions please let me know. Screenshot 2025-12-01 231221

I understand that you are having issue running Minecraft through the Minecraft launcher. As I checked, the error code is pointing to an outdated Java or Launcher. So, the first step in this case is to check whether the launcher or java have any updates. Since you have already reinstalled the launcher, that left Java is the other possible cause. Can you please go to Java official website to download the latest version and install it, and then try to run the launcher again?

Before we proceed further, may I know when did the issue start? You said that the game can be played if launched via Cursed Forge, which as I know is a mod library for games. There is a possibility that a recent installed mod that cause this. Could you please try to remove all mods, then restart the computer and try to open the apps again?

Hello Carl,

Thank you for getting back to me. This issue began right when I downloaded minecraft for the first time on my new PC. This is the only time I have had this issue and still have been unable to fix it. I have already tried installing the most recent version of Java and that did not fix it. I also don't have any mods so this is not the issue either. If you have any other potential fixes or someone I can contact please let me know.

Sorry that it didn't work. Just want to make sure, may I know where did you download the launcher from? If you download it from the Microsoft Store, can you please check and show me the folder C:\Program files\WindowsApps if possible? Please remember to remove all personal data before posting. Also, may I know if any other apps download from the store have the same issue?
