Immediate Cancellation and Refund Request – Microsoft 365 Business Standard

I am writing regarding my Microsoft 365 Business Standard subscription. My subscription status shows “Off,” but the recurring payment is still active and scheduled to renew on December 23, 2025.

There is no option to cancel the subscription from my account interface. I kindly request:

Full cancellation of my Microsoft 365 Business Standard subscription.

Disable any recurring payments associated with this subscription.

Refund the $66 that was charged mistakenly.

I have attached a screenshot of my subscription status showing that the cancel option is unavailable.

Please process this immediately.

    Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you’ve experienced, and I truly appreciate your patience while we work through this together. Based on your description, here’s what you need to know, your subscription is under a Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA) account type. By design, admins can only cancel, within 7 days of purchase, or within 7 days after renewal. 

    Outside these windows, the cancellation option in the Admin Center will not appear.

    To cancel immediately, please raise a support ticket with the Microsoft Billing Team and grant them permission to proceed. The billing agent will guide you through the next steps after the ticket is created. 

    • Sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center 
    • Go to Help & Support > Contact Support 
    • Select Billing & Subscription and explain that you need immediate cancellation 

    If you cannot access the Admin Center, you can contact Microsoft directly via phone for a quicker resolution: Customer service phone numbers - Microsoft Support

    I successfully sent an email to cancel the subscription and I am currently clarifying the issue regarding Microsoft refunding the full transaction amount (both Charges and Tax).
    However, yesterday (December 4th), Microsoft said they would issue a refund but would keep the tax amount and not return it. I submitted a complaint email, and as of today, I have not received any response.

    While Microsoft has not responded to my refund issue, they have charged me an additional invoice of $4.4.
    Are you planning to refund me (excluding the tax) and then create a new $4 transaction and expect me to pay tax on that transaction as well?

    I want to clarify for everyone that the subscription was only automatically renewed on December 3rd, 2025, and it was activated at around 3 PM, which allowed me to click Cancel. Before that, I had already sent an email requesting the cancellation and a full refund of the entire transaction.
