How to find my Recovery key for my lap top

To find your BitLocker recovery key for your laptop, you can follow these steps:

1. Access the Company Portal: If your device is managed by your organization, you can retrieve the recovery key from the Intune Company Portal website or app.
   • Sign in to the Company Portal website.
   • Go to Devices and select your locked PC.
   • Click on Get recovery key and then select Show recovery key to view it.
   • Write down or copy the recovery key, as it will disappear after five minutes.
2. Self-Service Portal: If your organization has set up a Self-Service Portal, you can use it to regain access to your computer.
   • Enter the Recovery Key ID displayed on your recovery screen (at least the first eight digits).
   • Select a reason for your request and click Get Key to display your recovery key.
3. Contact IT Support: If you cannot find the recovery key yourself, you may need to contact your IT support for assistance.

Please note that recovery keys are only available for devices that are encrypted and managed by your organization. If you encrypted the device personally, you will need to look for the recovery key in your personal records or backups.
