How can I change mobile number of azure account.

By mistake, I used a different mobile number, and because of this, I am not receiving the OTP when I try to register using my credit card. I would like to update my mobile number to the one linked with my credit card so that I can receive the OTP and successfully complete my Azure registration.

If you used the wrong mobile number during Azure free account registration, the OTP will fail because it’s sent to the number linked to your credit card. Here’s how to fix it:
Steps to Update and Complete Registration
- Update Microsoft Account Phone Number
- Go to https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info.
- Sign in with the Microsoft account you used for Azure.
- Click Add method → Phone, enter the correct mobile number (with country code, e.g., +91), and verify.
- Remove the wrong entered number
- Update Azure Billing Profile
- Sign in to https://portal.azure.com.
- Navigate to Cost Management + Billing → Billing profiles.
- Update the contact phone number under Bill-to / Sold-to details
- Use an Incognito/Private browser window.
- Double-check country code (+91 for India).
- If SMS fails, try Call verification.
- Ensure your Microsoft account region matches your billing country.
