If your screen brightness adjustment is not working despite having updated all drivers and checked settings, consider the following troubleshooting steps:

    1. Check for Hardware Issues: Ensure that your device's brightness control keys (if available) are functioning properly. Sometimes, the physical keys might be malfunctioning.
    2. BIOS Settings: Verify that your BIOS settings are not overriding the brightness controls. Some BIOS configurations can affect how brightness is managed.
    3. Display Driver Settings: Since you mentioned all drivers are updated, ensure that the display driver supports brightness control. You can check if the driver exposes the correct brightness interface (DXGK_BRIGHTNESS_INTERFACE_2 or DXGK_BRIGHTNESS_INTERFACE_3) as described in the context.
    4. Power Settings: Review your power settings to ensure that they are not set to a mode that restricts brightness adjustments. For example, the Energy Saver mode might limit brightness levels.
    5. Adaptive Brightness: If you are using Windows 11, check if the adaptive brightness feature is enabled or disabled in the display settings. Sometimes toggling this option can resolve issues.
    6. External Monitors: If you are using an external monitor, note that brightness controls may not work as expected since legacy monitor transports do not support HID messages for brightness control.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may want to consider reinstalling the display drivers or checking for any Windows updates that might address this problem.

If you click the audio icon at the bottom right side of your Taskbar, is there a brightness slider on the resulting popup panel and if so, is that not working to adjust the brightness.

Right click your Start Button and open Device Manager.

Expand the Processors section and the Display Adapters section, please provide a screenshot of that full window.
