Hi Microsoft Team!
While participating as a guest in a Microsoft Teams call I was unable to listen to anything said in the call.

I am running OS Debian 12, Linux user 6.1.0-41-amd64 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Debian 6.1.158-1 (2025-11-09) x86_64 GNU/Linux.

I tried in Firefox (where I could not see the shared screen as well), Chromium and Chrome.
Firefox -> 140.5.0esr (64-bit)

Chromium -> Version 142.0.7444.175 (Official Build) built on Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm) (64-bit)

Chrome ->Version 143.0.7499.40 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Other sites with audio are working perfectly, such as Spotify, Discord, YT and more.

Have you any ideas where the problem may lie and how to solve it?

    Thanks for the details. Were you able to run the Teams test call in your browser and hear the audio there?

    Teams on Linux in the browser needs the correct output device set in Teams Device Settings, plus your browser must allow sound and microphone permissions for teams.microsoft.com. Microsoft also notes that screen sharing and audio issues on Linux often come from disabled hardware acceleration, so check your browser settings and turn it on. If the issue continues, I recommend trying the latest Microsoft Edge for Linux and reviewing the Teams Web Client requirements on the Microsoft support site.
