Can I download apps on my laptop in my persoanl account if apps already exist in my company's plan.

As of December 16th, my company's Microsoft license no longer allows me to use my apps offline on my laptop. I purchased a personal plan but cannot download the apps. Do I have to uninstall the apps from my company's plan and then reinstall them under my personal plan? Will I lose my Excel, PPT, and Word files?

To answer your question:

Yes, when you switch to your personal Microsoft 365 subscription on your laptop, you need to remove the apps installed under the company plan first.

Running multiple Microsoft 365 versions on the same device can cause conflict. After uninstalling the organization’s apps, you can install Office apps that tied to your personal plan. Your existing Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents will remain intact because files are stored independently from the applications.

Thank you for your response. I have uninstalled by company's apps and am trying to install the apps under my personal supscription but I am getting stalled at the same place. Any idea what I can try next?
