Why when I am assigned a task in MSPlanner I get an e-mail with a link but it doesn't go to the task?

When you receive an email notification for a task assigned to you in Microsoft Planner, the link provided typically directs you to the entire plan rather than the specific task. This is a known behavior in Planner, as it does not currently support direct linking to individual tasks within the project. This differs from Microsoft Project, where such direct links were possible.

• Neither - it says planner cloud...

Were these tasks migrated from Project or created directly in Planner?

• created in planner
