Hello everybody,

I'm using Windows 11 25H2 (fresh installation) with Office 2024.

When I'm sending Meeting invitations my customer get's that invitation like this:

BEGIN:VCALENDAR PRODID:-//Microsoft Corporation//Outlook 16.0 MIMEDIR//EN VERSION:2.0 METHOD:REQUEST X-MS-OLK-FORCEINSPECTOROPEN:TRUE BEGIN:VEVENT ATTENDEE;CN=[Receipient];RSVP=TRUE:mailto:[Receipient] CLASS:PUBLIC CREATED:20251120T193751Z DESCRIPTION:\n DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20251126 DTSTAMP:20251120T193751Z DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20251125 LAST-MODIFIED:20251120T193751Z ORGANIZER;CN="[DisplayName]":mailto:[Sender] PRIORITY:5 SEQUENCE:0 SUMMARY;LANGUAGE=de:test01 TRANSP:OPAQUE UID:040000008200E00074C5B7101A82E00800000000E0D8F67D5D5ADC01000000000000000 010000000E738D010B424AA43AE74F0049AA46448 X-MICROSOFT-CDO-BUSYSTATUS:TENTATIVE X-MICROSOFT-CDO-IMPORTANCE:1 X-MICROSOFT-CDO-INTENDEDSTATUS:FREE X-MICROSOFT-DISALLOW-COUNTER:FALSE X-MS-OLK-AUTOSTARTCHECK:FALSE X-MS-OLK-CONFTYPE:0 BEGIN:VALARM TRIGGER:-PT1080M ACTION:DISPLAY DESCRIPTION:Reminder END:VALARM END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR

I tried to uninstall Office 2024 and install Office again.

I tried to delete my userprofile and Outlook Profile.

Nothing helps.

I connect my Outlook via ActiveSync to my provider. With other Mailclients everything works fine - just Outlook does not work.

I do not create Teams Meetings - it happens with every meeting invitation I send from my Mail Client.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards

Melanie

Hi @Melanie Huß | CCX Solutions GmbH

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

May I ask are you using Microsoft Exchange Server as your provider or are you using from a third-party provider?

If you are using Microsoft, choose Microsoft 365 so Outlook connects using Modern Authentication and the supported Exchange protocols (MAPI/HTTP). Using EAS for an Exchange mailbox will break full calendar/contact features and integrations like meeting invitations (the issue that you are seeing).

If you are using another provider, use IMAP/POP this for providers that publish IMAP/SMTP with OAuth2/Modern Auth. It normally will sync email-only, calendar/contacts are limited unless the provider supports those. Sync basics - what you can and cannot sync - Microsoft Support

EAS is designed for mobile sync (mail, calendar, contacts) and is not a replacement for full Exchange connectivity on desktop. So, it might break the meeting invitations. Exchange ActiveSync | Microsoft Learn

Please try and let me know if it works for you.
